Independence BrewBQ is happy to announce a $5,000 donation to the Buchanan County Animal Shelter as the Charity Partner for 2015. This is the largest donation to a Charity Partner in the 10 year history of the event. The check will be presented to the Board of the Buchanan County Animal Shelter on Wednesday, September 16, 2 p.m. at the shelter site in Hazleton.

Volunteers from Buchanan County Animal Shelter helped promote the event at the Independence Farmers Market over the summer. The Independence BrewBQ celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2015 with a record-breaking crowd. This year’s event included a 25 mile bike ride, Traeger Most Excellent Griller Contest “Chopped” Style, Craft Brew Zone, 5 outstanding BBQ/food vendors, and our entertainment, “Never the Less”, entertained the crowd through the evening hours.
