Chopped Edition!
The 2017 Independence BrewBQ is Saturday, August 26th at Riverwalk Parks. If you enjoy barbequing and would like to compete for the Traeger Most Excellent Griller title, contact a “Q Crew” member.
The contest will be a “Chopped” format to test the skills of 4 local barbeque cooks. A “mystery basket” will be given to each chef in an appetizer, main course and dessert round. One chef will be “chopped” after each round, leaving 2 finalists to compete in the dessert round for the title. This honor includes bragging rights for another year, a cash prize of $150 and other goodies!
Judging
Four local celebrities will judge the entries based on:
- Flavor
- Use of all ingredients
- Presentation
